We have heard roumers abt this 56kb modem in Sweden, does anyone have more

Subject: FBB5.15 problems...
A friend of mine uses FBB5.15 via Baycom modem + TFPCX driver. We wonder
if it is possible to run BPQ software in addition of actual status. Is
there a way to run that combination with BPQ software? The next trouble
is recognized in FBB5.15 when a user tries LIST-command within FBBDOS. Then
FBB exits and re-boots itself immediately (?!). This problem didn't happen
for a couple of years and started at once. Of course, all connected
channels become disconnected as well as forward activities. What to do?

Subject: Good AR FAX Freqs
Hi everyone.
I just picked up a multimode controller (MFJ-1278B) and would like to
experiment with HF FAX. (Just receiving for now.)
Has anyone had any success at using FAX? Does anyone know of any good
frequencies to use? Where hams generally hang out? (Like 14.230 for
SSTV.)
Thanks.

Try the Garmin GPS-40 at $369.95 from West Marine 800-538-0775.
I am sure there are other dealers as well.

I would like information on the use of the AD7008 CMOS DDS Modulator.
I am using this device on a board with a TMS320C31 and I am having
trouble configuring the AD7008 through its control port. Any information
or insight would be appreciated.
Thank you.

HOW TO ACCESS THE WB3FFV AMATEUR RADIO TELEPHONE BBS !!!
I have placed a BBS system on-line that is mainly oriented towards the
Amateur Community (but there are plenty of other wares on-line). Through
user support I hope to keep the latest and greatest ham software on-line.
The BBS also offers access to nearly all of the Internet (USENET) NetNews
groups, plus access to Internet E-Mail. Below is the information that is
needed in order to access the BBS via Telephone, Telnet, or FTP. Please
pass it around to as many ham's as possible.
System Name: WB3FFV
User Login: bbs
410-661-2475 - 12/24/48/96/14.4/16.8/19.2/21.6/28.8
(V.32bis,V.32terbo,V.34,V.FC,HST,V.42bis)
410-661-2598 - 12/24/48/96/14.4/16.8/19.2/21.6/28.8
(V.32bis,V.32terbo,V.34,V.FC,HST,V.42bis)
410-661-2648 - 1200/2400/4800/9600/14400/23000
(MNP2-5, V.32bis, V.42bis, Turbo-PEP)
TELNET/FTP - wb3ffv1.sed.csc.com (20.2.1.80)
Data Settings: 8 Bits, NO Parity, 1 Stop Bit
Times: 24hrs/365days (except for routine maintenance)
Software: UniBoard UNIX BBS Software (Version 1.30b)
Misc. Info: Machine is an Pentium-90/MP running UNIX System V Release 4.2
and features more than 3 Gigabytes of on-line file storage.
Most transfer protocols are available!!
I attempt to keep the latest and greatest HAM software on-line, and encourage
all to upload anything new that they come up with, as it is of benefit to all.
Here is a sample of a couple pieces of software that is available for DOWNLOAD:
KA9Q TCP/IP Software for the PC (Latest OFFICIAL release + TEST Versions)
KA9Q TCP/IP for the Atari-ST, MAC, & Amiga
KA9Q TCP/IP for UNIX based systems
KA9Q TCP/IP (The NOS release) [UNIX, MS/DOS, Amiga]
KA9Q TCP/IP (Version by G1EMM, PE1CHL, PA0GRI, Etc.)
N2GTE Packet Message Switch [GTEPMS]
WA7MBL BBS for the PC
W0RLI BBS for the PC
MSYS BBS for the PC running KISS TNC's
AA4RE BBS for the PC (plus BETA versions)
F6FBB BBS for the PC
G8BPQ PC-Node (Version 4.06)
Various BBS utilities and enhancements
Several MORSE CODE Tutors
TheNet software by NORD><LINK
Modifications for many HAM Rigs and Scanners
Digital Signal Processing software (DSP)
DX and contesting programs
If you are interested in using UUCP to connect to the BBS, this can also be
done as I support Anon-uucp. The login to the system is 'uucpanon', and there
is NO password. The listing of avalible archives are stored in a file called
'FILES', and it is located in the /var/spool/uucppublic. To retrieve the files
listing just use the following command:
uucp wb3ffv!~/FILES /usr/spool/uucppublic (ASCII Text)
-or-
uucp wb3ffv!~/FILES.Z /usr/spool/uucppublic (16-Bit Compressed)
-or-
uucp wb3ffv!~/FILES.gz /usr/spool/uucppublic (GNU Gzipped)
This will move a copy of my files listing into your uucppublic directory.
If you want to access the BBS via Telnet all you have to do is TELNET to
wb3ffv1.sed.csc.com, and login is 'bbs' with no password required. To use
anonymous FTP just ftp to wb3ffv1.sed.csc.com and login as 'anonymous'.
This system is currently attached to the Internet via a dialup SLIP link,
and should generally be available 24hrs, but at times the modem will drop
the line. Also since this isn't the fastest link, I will be limiting the
maximum number of anonymous sessions for the moment.
If you have any questions or problems, feel free to contact me at one of
the numbers/adresses below. Good Luck...

yes uuencode works on packet...it is perfect for transfering software files
it can be sent and recieved via the mailbox system that most packet software
supports...start working on that license!...lots of fun in ham radio

So point us to this standard.
I've seen several references to it, but no reference to where
one might actually GET the standard, nor any reference to
WHICH standard body publishes it.
