  48. We have heard roumers abt this 56kb modem in Sweden, does anyone have more
  49. information? I have only been reading this newsgroup for two days and been on
  50. Internet for a week, so maybee i missed something!

  97. A friend of mine uses FBB5.15 via Baycom modem + TFPCX driver. We wonder
  98. if it is possible to run BPQ software in addition of actual status. Is
  99. there a way to run that combination with BPQ software? The next trouble
  100. is recognized in FBB5.15 when a user tries LIST-command within FBBDOS. Then
  101. FBB exits and re-boots itself immediately (?!). This problem didn't happen
  102. for a couple of years and started at once. Of course, all connected
  103. channels become disconnected as well as forward activities. What to do?

  119. Has anyone had any success at using FAX?  Does anyone know of any good 
  120. frequencies to use?  Where hams generally hang out? (Like 14.230 for 
  121. SSTV.)

  255. If you are interested in using UUCP to connect to the BBS, this can also be
  256. done as I support Anon-uucp. The login to the system is 'uucpanon', and there 
  257. is NO password. The listing of avalible archives are stored in a file called
  258. 'FILES', and it is located in the /var/spool/uucppublic. To retrieve the files
  259. listing just use the following command:

  261. uucp wb3ffv!~/FILES /usr/spool/uucppublic        (ASCII Text)
  262.                 -or-
  263. uucp wb3ffv!~/FILES.Z /usr/spool/uucppublic        (16-Bit Compressed)

  270. If you want to access the BBS via Telnet all you have to do is TELNET to
  271. wb3ffv1.sed.csc.com, and login is 'bbs' with no password required.  To use
  272. anonymous FTP just ftp to wb3ffv1.sed.csc.com and login as 'anonymous'. 
  273. This system is currently attached to the Internet via a dialup SLIP link,
  274. and should generally be available 24hrs, but at times the modem will drop
  275. the line.  Also since this isn't the fastest link, I will be limiting the
  276. maximum number of anonymous sessions for the moment.

  305. yes uuencode works on packet...it is perfect for transfering software files
  306. it can be sent and recieved via the mailbox system that most packet software
  307. supports...start working on that license!...lots of fun in ham radio
